Looking up towards the dome from a lower floor again.



In 1902 the firm of Crossman and Study from Chicago painted the four murals that you see just under the dome and designed the relief statues and state seals that appear below the paintings.

The flags in the rotunda represent nations or states that have, at one time, claimed all or part of Kansas. They include: United Kingdom, the French Monarchy, the French Republic, Mexico, Spain, Texas, United States, and Kansas
