On a recent visit to Great Bend, Ks D and I took time to check out some of the smallest critters at the Brit Spaugh Zoo.

This zoo has one of the few butterfly houses I’ve ever seen and, although it is small, it is pretty awesome.

I was lucky enough to capture these two monarch shots and one of a swallowtail butterfly seemingly emerging from a row of colorful chrysalis. Now I don’t know if he had just emerged or if he was just hanging out there but it made for a nice shot either way!
